MY TEACHER SELECTED FOR NATIONAL AWARD-2008

G.V.S. Nageswara Rao, a teacher at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Kommadi, has been selected for National Award-2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development

The award carries a certificate of merit, a cash prize of Rs.25,000 and a silver medal, which will be presented by the President at a special function to be held in New Delhi on Teacher’s Day (September 5).

Mr. Nageswara Rao has already won six national awards for integrating technology with teaching, a national incentive award and about 40 other awards for his literary works.

An anthology of his poems ‘Prapanchakshari’, released recently, has won appreciation in literary circles. He has designed an innovative PowerPoint presentation on ‘Mahaprasthanam’.
